URBAN LEISURE

Hi Friends,

When the Welsh poet WH Davies wrote the poem 'Leisure' in 1911, he lamented on the busy life of the hoi polloi who failed to enjoy and savor the beauty of the nature, even when it was at its best.
More than a Century later, when the world order has changed and the beauty of the natural surroundings has undergone a metamorphosis, despite a change so different yet equally exciting, the nature of the hoi polloi hasn't much changed. How sad, they were indifferent then, they are indifferent now, and God knows till when.

"What is this life if full of care, we have no time to stand and stare... " If Davies lamented then in 1911..... In the modern era in 2017, I too equally lament...
" What is this life if full of care, no time to stand and urban stare.... "

URBAN LEISURE

What is this life if full of care,
No time to stand and urban stare..

The lights go red to amber they care,
The bikers so race for all you care;
The mother with child no chance she dare,
Cross the road even if fair..

The tower with beacon ever so bright,
Is it, where it, so strange you thought;
The tower you can't see ships so sight,
Truely poor you urban bigot..

The long n monstrous train when surpass,
The trail of ants awed with surprise;
The man the TC, bribe they treatise,
Who cares when treacherous life priotise..

The planes they take off eagles so jealous,
Snowy peaks beneath too fabulous;
Clouds peep window ever so generous,
You busy with gadgets stupid n frivolous..

The Honda Lamborghini Mercedes you sought,
The man killed on road you lambast;
Not me the killer, drunkard you fret,
The truth when out start you sweat..

Waves of telecom always they flair,
You only miss if mobile off air;
The curves and angles of brick and mortar,
May jus' savoir faire at mall n  theatre..

The bridges so beautiful, arches beneath delight,
The cop at its end you freeze with fright ;
So what a sight the fountain with light,
Who cares for the lotus dainty invite...

What is this life if full of care,
No time to stand and urban stare...
